23 people have died and 40 others have been injured after a passenger train to leave the railways and protested yesterday (Saturday) in Uttar Pradesh, India.
The accident occurred in Muzaffarnagar district about 100 kilometers from the city of New Delhi. The 14-year-old train has been reported to leave the railway while one knocked down a houseside on the sidewalk and damaged it.
The police in Uttar Pradesh have confirmed the accident and said 23 people have lost their lives and more than 40 others were injured.
